What we pour

Three types of residential concrete work we do.

Driveways & aprons

Reinforced, properly graded driveways built to handle Houston's expanding clay soil. We include expansion joints, rebar or wire mesh, and a clean brushed or broom finish.

  • Rebar + wire mesh reinforced
  • Expansion joints every 10 ft
  • Standard or exposed aggregate finish

Patios & outdoor slabs

Flatwork for backyard patios, walkways, sidewalks, and pool decks. We handle grading, forming, and finishing so the slab drains correctly and looks clean for years.

  • Proper slope for drainage
  • Pool deck & patio surrounds
  • Walkways & front entries

Decorative & stamped

Add texture, pattern, or color to make your driveway or patio stand out. Stamped concrete gives you the look of stone, brick, or wood grain at a fraction of the cost.

  • Stamped patterns & textures
  • Integral & surface color
  • Exposed aggregate options
How a concrete job goes

Five steps from estimate to finished slab.

1

Free estimate

Get a ballpark online or call us. We come out, measure the area, check grade and drainage, and give you a written price before anything starts.

2

Site prep & forming

Existing concrete or material is removed if needed. We grade the subbase, compact it, and set forms to the correct height and slope.

3

Rebar & wire mesh

Steel reinforcement goes in before the pour — rebar grid or wire mesh depending on the slab type. This is what keeps the concrete from shifting and cracking apart.

4

Pour & finish

Concrete is placed, screeded flat, floated, and finished to the agreed texture. Expansion joints are cut or placed to control where the slab breathes.

5

Cure & seal

Fresh concrete is protected during the cure period. Once cured, we apply a penetrating sealer that protects against moisture, stains, and Houston's UV.

Common questions

Stuff people ask about concrete.

How long does concrete take to cure?

Concrete reaches about 70% of its strength in the first week and full strength at 28 days. You can walk on it after 24–48 hours and drive on it after 7 days. We'll give you exact timing in writing based on weather conditions during your pour.

Can you pour concrete in Houston's summer heat?

Yes, but it takes extra care. Hot weather accelerates the cure too fast, which can lead to surface cracking. We pour in the early morning when temps are lower, add ice to the mix if needed, and use curing blankets and misting to slow things down. Most Houston contractors skip these steps — we don't.

What's the price difference between stamped and plain concrete?

Stamped concrete typically runs 30–50% more than plain broom-finished work, depending on pattern complexity and color. The base pour is the same — the extra cost is in the stamping tools, release agents, and sealer. It's worth it for a patio or front entry that you see every day.

Do you do concrete repairs or resurfacing?

We focus on full pours — new driveways, patios, and flatwork — rather than small patch repairs. If your existing slab has widespread cracking or heaving from tree roots or clay soil movement, replacement usually makes more sense than patching anyway. We'll give you an honest assessment on your free estimate visit.

Will my concrete crack eventually?

Almost all concrete develops some cracking over time — that's normal and expected. The goal is to control where it cracks (through expansion and control joints) and prevent structural cracking from poor reinforcement or subbase prep. Concrete poured without proper reinforcement, grading, or joints will crack badly. Ours won't.
